Chess tournament in Fort Wayne

More than a hundred students from across the state were in Fort Wayne Saturday to play some chess.

“It helps a lot with cognitive skills and just learning to concentrate. They’ve also found in some studies that some students’ math skills and even other things have benefited as a result of starting chess,” Jim Dean, the Canterbury chess instructor, said.
