GM Jennifer Shahade pops up again… This time in the buff at a Max Euwe Event.
You gotta love Grand Master Jennifer Shahade. Her wild tactics to grab the audience and shock them is a skill that she seems to have perfected. She not only grabs the attention of her fans but she takes a unique game that is stereotyped for geeks and sexualizes it into a very exciting and intriguing fun game that makes you want to dig in and discover all that the deep world of chess has to offer.

Grand Master Jennifer Shahade in the buff
The event took place in De Kring, a location already special on account of the many chess players and artists who made the club both famous and infamous. On sunday evening the setting was even more special as visitors were immediately confronted upon entry with a chess performance by Jennifer Shahade of her creation of in the buff Chess, this time as a simul against three chess playing, nude artists’ models. The lighting created dramatic shadows against the back wall while Shahade walked from board to board in her beautifully stylized dress. Against this back-drop Hans Böhm smoothly introduced the audience to the various acts. Read more about this event here…
ChessManiac.com conducted an interview with Jennifer in 2006 that you might want to read.
