The San Luis Obispo February Open was held on February 11. The 8-player Open Section was won by Eric Montany and Warren Williamson, each scoring 3.5-.5, having tied in their game. B/C prizes went to Mark Donovan, 2-2, and Kevin Maxwell, 1-3. The 8-player Reserve Section (U1400/unrated) was won by Alex Bruzzo, 4-0, with Shaun Kelly taking 2nd at 3-1. The U1000/unrated prize was won by first-time tournament player Sarah Stephan Maxwell, 2-2. Steven Tomak directed.
